Soft Ablation
LaserPeel® Soft-METT Modified Erbium Laser treatments gently ablate the epidermis to freshen, smooth and improve the appearance of the skin with little or no down time. The precise control characteristic of Modified Erbium:YAG (Er:YAG) laser treatments ('MET',i.e. modified erbium technology) allow you to offer mild to moderate, as well as deeper peels based on the severity of the case and the preference of your patients.
Quick Treatments and Minimal
Recovery Time
LaserPeel treatments are quick and easy to perform because of the large spot size options (up to 10mm) and high repetition rate (up to 9Hz). The residual thermal damage to the skin from the treatment is minimal. LaserPeel's "flat top" beam profile provides an even distribution of energy to the treatment site. This results in faster re-epithelialization and short-term post-treatment erythma. The recovery from superficial peels (i.e.10µm) can be as short as one (1) day.
Precise Control and Predictable Penetration
LaserPeel provides a predictable depth of ablation of the epidermis due to the exquisite peak absorption of the 2940nm Er:YAG wavelength by water. This provides greater control of the depth of ablation in comparison to chemical peels, traditional Er:YAG lasers or even fractional laser devices.
Traditional Er: YAG Lasers vs. LaserPeel
The recent (MET) technological advances incorporated into LaserPeel provide the following advantages in comparison to traditional Er:YAG lasers:
~ LaserPeel is small and portable which eliminates the need for expensive on-site maintenance and repairs
~ Direct delivery laser handpiece avoids high maintenance articulated arms and fiberoptics utilized by earlier models
~ Provides effective treatments with lower energy fluences to avoid extensive erythema and prolonged healing times (MET)
~ LaserPeel is more affordable and less costly to maintain
