As the effects of aging and the environment become evident on the skin, the desire to reduce these effects becomes popular. There are different systems on the market to address this need. Skin ablation has historically provided the most dramatic result. Lasers have been used for several years to help reverse these signs, however, they tend to require weeks and even months of recovery time. Patients today seek skin rejuvenation with less downtime. Traditional ER: Yag lasers have become popular because of their unique ability to precisely peel thin layers of the skin with shorter recovery times. Today's technology is moving away from higher powered ER: Yag lasers to an ER: Yag which is less invasive in manner with a relatively large spot size, allowing physicians to deliver laser procedures with no trauma or downtime. The results are impressive and the recovery time has been referred to as "lunch time peels" enabling the patients to receive these treatments over their lunch hour and return to work.

Sybaritic's medical division, Symedex Medical LLC, addressed this need and developed, Laser PeelT 3G using a truly proprietary technology called METT, Modified Erbium Technology. MET realizes a proprietary and unique combination of precise 2940nm wavelength, pulse duration, precise joule output, variable pulse rates, and a large spot size. LaserPeel 3G offers three specific energy density choices (low, 200mmJ, 400 mJ, 600 mJ, medium, high) for precise penetration levels of 20-40 microns per pass. A light treatment, (low setting), or "lunch time" peel may allow a patient to return to normal activities immediately, where deeper treatments (medium, high settings) may require a few days of healing time.

LaserPeel 3G is lightweight and compact for portability. Each LaserPeel 3G comes with a ProCartT designed specifically for the unit. The ProCart is maneuverable and features two 'tray' shelves to hold product. A lightweight handpiece is easy to handle and control. LaserPeel 3G is equipped with an easily identifiable safety switch. Three penetration levels enable precise skin ablation. Three pulse rates allow the technician to work at a rate that is both comfortable for them, as well as the patient.
